REQUIRED RULES
All participants are required to read, understand, and follow the race rules outlined below as well as any rules introduced at the pre-race meeting or on race day.
- Participants must undergo check-in 45 minutes before the start of the competition and enter the departure area. Check-in items include mandatory equipment checks, bibs, timing chips, and positioning device inspections.
- Participants’ bibs must be worn prominently on the front and be clearly visible at all times during the competition.
- When participants reach a checkpoint, they should actively cooperate with the timing referee for clocking in. If a participant arrives at a checkpoint or leaves after the closing time, they will be considered “closed,” and further participation will not be allowed.
- If a participant loses the timing device during the competition, they must inform the checkpoint timing referee upon reaching the next checkpoint. After manual recording, they can continue the race.
- Participants at checkpoints should actively cooperate with referees for mandatory equipment checks. Refusal to cooperate or missing mandatory equipment will result in disqualification.
- Participants who withdraw from the race due to fatigue, illness, or injury must inform the nearest checkpoint and follow the withdrawal procedure. After withdrawal, they should follow the staff’s arrangements to leave the track and take the shuttle back to the finish line.
- Participants who fail to complete the withdrawal procedures on the way should promptly notify the organizing committee after withdrawal. The notification can be made by reporting directly to the main venue or contacting the contact number provided by the organizing committee on the bib. Failure to notify may result in the organizing committee refusing the participant’s future registration.
- When participants contact staff and request assistance, it is considered a transfer of decision-making authority to the organizing committee. They agree to accept any decision made by the organizing committee staff on their behalf.
- All event-related staff and volunteers have the right to observe and judge the participants’ physical condition. If a participant is judged unfit to continue the race, they will be forced to withdraw, and assistance will be provided to evacuate them for further first aid and treatment.
- Participants must follow the principles of fair competition during the race. They should complete the race on their own without using horses, vehicles, or other transportation. Oxygen is not allowed, and participants must follow the specified route without taking shortcuts. Violations discovered by event staff or reported by other participants and verified will result in the disqualification of the participant.
- Selling or transferring participation qualifications or any form of substitution is strictly prohibited. Any medical rescue, insurance claims, and other related legal responsibilities arising from unauthorized transfer are the responsibility of the parties involved. Violators will have their race results canceled, and the organizing committee will not accept their registration for this event within three years.
- This event advocates the “Leave No Trace” environmental protection concept. The organizing committee does not provide disposable supplies at checkpoints and rest stations. Participants should bring their own supplies for enjoying hot food. Participants are required to seal garbage in bags and carry it with them until they dispose of it in the trash bins at the supply points. Littering on the track, if discovered by event staff or reported by other participants and verified, will result in the disqualification of the participant.
- For the MAMMUT Snow Treasure XBD50km group in this competition, participants need to arrive at the starting point one day in advance. There will be no shuttle service from Songpan to the starting point on the competition day.
