The Huanglong Extreme Endurance Race is an international race as a cultural landmark. This race is an international event in the Sichuan area. A professional event registered by the China Athletics Association.Every year, we have a tradition to rush to Huanglong in November. Circumventing Huanglong in the ultra trail run is never just a competition. It’s an emotional attachment between some people and the mountains, a yearly-goal for some to improve themselves, a perseverance despite repeated failures, and a special bond shared among a group of people. It bears witness to our interwoven relationships of friendship, love, and kinship.

Upcoming Events

The current Huanglong Extreme Endurance Race includes 1 experiential events: Songzhou Ancient City Run. There are 4 official competition events: Mysterious Exploration MJTS 75km Group, Snow Treasure Peak XBD 50km Group, Tea Horse Ancient Road CMGD 30km Group, and Dream Back Songzhou MHSZ15km, each corresponding to participants with different abilities.

This is the classic course of the Huanglong Extreme Endurance Race, connecting major scenic spots such as the Huanglong Scenic Area, the Mount Xuebaoding trekking route, and the ancient city of Songzhou.

As the longest course in this year’s race, this route takes runners through culturally rich villages such as Shuicaoba and Dazhai, and along the stunningly scenic “Fairy Tale Road” section of the Snow Mountain Ridge.

The race route winds through the enchanting landscapes, offering a blend of historical sites and challenging trails. Participants will traverse sections with varying elevations, experiencing the rich cultural heritage of the Tea Horse Road while tackling ascents and descents.

This is a trail suitable for beginners of high-altitude off-road running and hiking.
The 15-kilometer Dreaming of Songzhou race takes participants through the picturesque landscapes of Songzhou.
